2. Who Am I
Lead singer Mark Hall said the idea for this song came when he was driving home with his family one night. Following some worship time Hall wondered “Who am I to think I can just call up to God whenever I want, from the middle of nowhere, and expect Him to hear me?” Hall says “immediately I started thinking I’m a new creation, I’m more than a conqueror… I’m [also] grass, that is rises up and is gone in a day”
3. Slow Fade
Music critics loved “Slow Fade”. Allmusic once written that it had a “mature rock theme” and “showcased more grunge guitar than could be heard on all of Lifesong”
4. Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus
One of Casting Crowns more popular covers has been inspired by performances from Amy Grant, Alan Jackson and countless others.
5. Life Song
The title track of the bands second album which shed light on encouraging believers and also touching a nerve on occasional hypocrisy’s within the church. The single was praised by critics and helped propel the album to sell nearly 71,000 copies the week after it debuted.
